Our Team

Treasure Quest Corporation is led by a multidisciplinary team of researchers, historians, preservation advocates, and media professionals committed to responsible historical research and cultural preservation. Our team combines field experience, documentation expertise, and educational storytelling to ensure discoveries are preserved, studied, and shared responsibly.

Founder & Executive Director​
Michael Gattuso
He comes with over 30 years experience in research and recovery industry.  His discoveries have landed Mr. Gattuso on 4 major networks such as Discovery, Travel, Weather, and History channel.  Including TV shows such as Expedition Unknown, Beyond Oak Island, Search Party, Code of the Wild, and Pawn Stars.  He also has been in multiple news publications, and local news channels throughout the State of Florida.

Media & Documentation Director
Michael Joerger
A veteran of the entertainment business, after almost twenty years as an Art Director and Producer, Mike Joerger has worked on everything from theatrical productions, dozens of indie features, television shows (like latin talk show 'Cristina') to music videos for Britney Spears, Sisqo, Dave Matthews Band, Shakira, and Redman to name a few. Amidst his showbiz journey, Joerger helped flesh out the great vision of the Moscow Ballet. Since forming Zulu 
Entertainment in the fall of 2007,    he has been a core member of the producing team and has dedicated himself to developing the company's film operations into the empire it strives to become.

Lauren Hennessey
She is exceptionally skilled in the area of research. With a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Science, specifically Public Administration, Lauren brings a distinctive approach to the team. Leading our research endeavors, she has experience in land development, public policy, Florida site file, public resources, and historical research. ​

Chanoce Gomez
A member of the Florida Pioneer Heritage Family, she brings her expertise in genealogy and provides valuable insight into founding families experience and contributions to Florida history.  Chanoce is also a member of the Hawks Nest Tribe, where she advocates for the rights of Cherokee and other recognized Native American Tribes and communities.

Stephanie Sims
Associates in Science and Business out of the University of Tampa and Associates in Marketing with the University of Phoenix.  


Treasure Quest Corporation operates as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All team members contribute to research, documentation, preservation, and educational initiatives in alignment with the organization’s public-benefit mission.
