Project Overview
In 2024, Treasure Quest Corporation documented and registered a previously unmarked historic cemetery formally established in 1872. The site served as a burial ground during the Civil War era and for prominent local community members.  Key Outcomes Previously unregistered historic burial site Documented and preserved location Official registration with Florida Master Site File Assigned Site ID for historic preservation

Useppa Island Project

Treasure Quest Corporation documented the discovery of a Calusa Indian bone tool during research activities on Useppa Island. The artifact was preserved and donated to the Useppa Island Museum for public display and educational use.

​DeSoto County Site Assessment Project

Project Overview
Treasure Quest Corporation conducted a site assessment in DeSoto County, Florida, following a formal request for permission to evaluate a specific location for potential historical or archaeological significance. The request was based on information provided to the organization regarding a historically relevant item reportedly discovered and relocated to the area in question. Approval to proceed was granted by DeSoto County with the requirement that a county official be present during assessment activities.

Research & Compliance Measures Prior to any field activity, Treasure Quest Corporation ensured full compliance with local requirements, including Formal permission granted by DeSoto County.  County official present during on-site activities Property boundary survey conducted to confirm no encroachment onto adjacent parcels Non-invasive ground scanning methods utilized No excavation or disturbance of the site All work was conducted strictly within approved parameters.

Findings Ground scanning and site assessment did not identify evidence of the reported item or any archaeological materials within the approved property boundaries. No artifacts were recovered, and no cultural materials were disturbed.

Documentation & Reporting Upon completion of the assessment: Findings were formally documented Final documentation was submitted to DeSoto County.  County officials reviewed the results The project was officially closed
